Mar thús do Pholasaí na Roinne Oideachas & Scileanna do Scoileanna Ghaeltachta, beidh an oideachas ar fad i Naíonáin Shóisearacha trí Ghaeilge amháin don chéad dá mhí de 2017-2018 (sin Meán Fómhair & Deireadh Fómhair 2017). Tosnófar ar mhúineadh an Bhéarla leis an rang sin i Samhain 2017. Scoil Shéamais Naofa, Bearna, is a Gaeltacht School, in which all subjects, except English, are taught through Irish. As a first step in the Department of Education & Skills Policy for Gaeltacht Schools, Junior Infants will be taught totally through Irish for the first two months of 2017-2018 (i.e. September & October 2017). Tá suíomh álainn ag Scoil Shéamais Naofa, 15 nóiméad ó chathair na Gaillimhe.
Tá an scoil suite i nGaeltacht Chonamara & táimid an-bhródúil as seo. Úsáidtear an Ghaeilge go rialta sa seomra ranga & lasmuigh de, cé go gcuirtear fáilte roimh pháistí ó chuile cúlra agus ábaltacht & spreagtar iad chun an teanga a fhoghlaim go nádurtha & grá a bheith acu di. Is scoil buachaill & cailíní muid: Naíonáin Shóis. - Rang 6 (aois 4-12). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Scoil Shéamais Naofa enjoys an enviable location, 15 minutes’ drive from Galway city, with the beaches of Galway Bay on our doorstep.

In summer 2010, we removed two prefabs & replaced them with modern, permanent classrooms. Some internal remodelling & updating also took place.
